Art Deco Gem

The Wiltern was built in 1931 and was designed by architect Stiles O. Clements of Morgan, Walls & Clements, the city's oldest architectural firm. The Wiltern was originally designed as a vaudeville theater and initially opened as the Warner Brothers Western Theater, the flagship for the theater chain. Later it was renamed The Wiltern as it is situated on the corner of WILshire and WesTERN. Clad in a blue-green glazed terra-cotta tile, it is considered one of the finest examples of Art Deco architecture in the United States. The interior features decorative plaster and tile work along with colorful murals. The most dramatic element of the design is the sunburst on the ceiling of the auditorium, with each ray it's own Art Deco skyscraper - the designers vision of the future of Wilshire Boulevard.

The venue features adjacent parking in the parking structure which can be reserved. Load in is very easy from either Western or Oxford. Truck parking is available on Oxford. There are numerous furnished and decorated green rooms for talent and backstage needs and crew catering. The balcony lobby is large enough to hold VIP receptions. Numerous build in bars are located in all lobby areas and inside the theater, ample restrooms available and outdoor smoking area.
