Not Hungry recently had the unique opportunity to cater for the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza’s 20th Anniversary fundraiser, hosted by Alliance for the Arts. As the official nonprofit fundraising arm of the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, a venue for which we have preferred status, Alliance for the Arts is dedicated to raising funds to support visual and performing arts and education. We were excited and honored to help support such an amazing cause!
Initially, the gala was to be to be held on the rooftop of the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza overlooking beautiful green hills and the city of Thousand Oaks. Unfortunately, due to weather conditions we had to move the location last minute to the back-up location at ground floor level at “The Lakes” Shopping Center.
The planner did a phenomenal job of designing a beautiful, glittering event with purple and pink uplights, transparent Alliance for the Arts logo centerpiece figurines with sparkling glassware on each table, and elegant, silver linens to set the tone.
The evening started off with a chic cocktail hour sponsored by Neiman Marcus with passed hors d'oeuvres accompanied by an acoustic guitar performance by James Hurley. Our goal for this cocktail hour was to bring warm, fall foods.
During dinner, the talented Kelley McRae and Matt Castelein performed on the center stage for entertainment. See a more detailed description of the full menu below!
Throughout dinner and dessert, a performance by The Company Men dazzled the crowd and filled the room with laughter and cheers! The four suited up gentlemen sang and danced perfectly in sync to their signature mashups and songs from the past six decades, providing just the perfect amount of entertainment to end the night with a bang. Many of the guests were up and dancinig!
We are so happy to have been part of such a spectacular event filled with glamour and excitement and all for such a great cause!Find out more about the other talented vendors at this event!
